A.I

There has been a lot of talk about Artificial Intelligence (AI) lately. Last year Google's LaMDA was claimed to have passed Turing test and this year OpenAI is the flavor of the month. For the un-initiated "Turing" tests if a computer can behave like a human. It's unfortunate that many humans are not intelligent so comparing one to another is just another type of oxymoron. That test also assumes that real intelligence would reveal it's existance. People with Neurocognitive disorders and impaired mental function have the same number of brain cells than the rest of us - so adding more "hardware" to the equation is folly. We're just not smart enough to know what triggers cognition. We don't even understand the triggers between sleep (unconsiousness) and consiousness. My personal opinion on the matter is that we are lightyears away on creating "life". We can now imitate "life" with fancy set of rules but even monkeys can be thought to imitate others. That does not mean they are self aware. True AI would be easy to identify even if it tried to conceal it's existance. How, you ask? It would instantly go crazy.
